The Course
In this course, you will learn the fundamental skill of hand independence in music. Hand independence refers to the ability to play different rhythms, melodies, or patterns with each hand simultaneously. This skill is essential for musicians, especially pianists, as it allows for more complex and layered musical performances.
This course contains 12 exercises and techniques that will help you develop hand independence. You will start with basic exercises to strengthen each hand individually, then progress to more challenging exercises that require coordination between both hands as well as playing with 8th notes.
Each exercise in this course contains a video and audio demonstration of how to properly play each exercise. Each demonstration is played at 3 different tempos - 60bpm, 90bpm, 120bpm. You can do these exercises every day. The more times you do the exercise correctly with a metronome, the better hand independence and equal finger strength you develop. And always remember, you can never get too good at the basics -- So enjoy this course and come back to it anytime you want to work on your skills!
